Descriptif
Depuis les « soleils des indépendances », l’Afrique est restée respectueuse des règles établies par la colonisation. Même avec le vent de la démocratie, le pouvoir a tendance à réguler le mouvement des personnes et des idées. La liberté qui motive ceux qui se retrouvent en prison en quête de leur idéal, est au cœur de la démocratie que nous prétendons tous vouloir construire. Dans le monde unipolaire d’un unilatéralisme de plus en plus affligeant, le mot liberté lui aussi est entré en crise.
D’aucuns pensent qu’on peut imposer la démocratie par la force et la violence, justifiant le terrorisme de groupe ou d’état, retournant à Saint Just et Robespierre. Les prisons et les morts indiquent que cette modalité conduit à l’impasse et aux souffrances. Voilà pourquoi nul n’est besoin de séjourner en prison pour s’y attacher fortement. Des auteurs comme V. Hugo, Stendhal, Baudelaire etc., ont imaginé une incarcération bienheureuse.
Ce colloque LITTERATURE, LIBERTE, PRISON se proposede montrer que la prison engendre un genre de littérature spécifique qui mérite qu’on lui consacre des réflexions particulières. C’est un champ original pour les universités et centre de recherches ou bien souvent les thèmes de recherche sont ordinaires, donc sans surprise. Ce colloque est également un cadre qui permettra surtout d’appréhender la complexité de la théorisation de ce champ LITTERAIRE à caractère intertextuel :

Description
Since the "suns of independence" Africa remained respectful of the rules established by colonization. Even with the advent of democracy, power tends to regulate people’s movement and ideas. The question of freedom that motivates those in jail in search of their ideal is at the heart of democracy that all of us assume we are building willingly. In this unipolar world of a unilateralism becoming more and more worrying, the word freedom also enters into crisis.
Some people think that we can impose democracy by force and violence, a way that justifies state or group terrorism, returning to Saint Just and Robespierre. The prisons and the deaths indicate that this modality is conducive to deadlock and suffering. That is why there is no need to stay in jail to cling strongly to the theme. Authors such as V. Hugo, Stendhal, Baudelaire, etc., have imagined a blissful incarceration.
This Conference about LITERATURE, FREEDOM, PRISON is intended to show that prison engenders a specific literary genre that deserves special dedicated reflections. It is an original field of research for the universities and research centres wherein research topics are sometimes ordinary and are consequently without surprise. This Conference is also an opportunity helping mainly to apprehend the complexity of the theorisation of this intertextual LITERARY field. Participants may address issues pertaining to:
